Installing Microsoft Truetype fonts on Ubuntu
To install Microsoft Truetype fonts on Ubuntu, enter the following command in the terminal

sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts

The following fonts will be installed:
Andale Mono
Arial Black
Arial (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Comic Sans MS (Bold)
Courier New (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Georgia (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Impact
Times New Roman (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Trebuchet (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Verdana (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Webdings


If the package cannot be found, you may need to enable more repositories. Alternatively you can always install the restricted package, which includes a lot other codecs, flash and the mscorefonts.
