How to change Windows startup options. Speed up Windows boot time.
If you find that Windows XP takes a long time to boot, it might be worth disabling some programs that automatically start when Windows boots.

Not only will it make your machine a bit quicker, but it will also free up memory.

To change what programs start when Windows boots, do the following.

Click Start >> Run then type msconfig and click OK

The Windows XP System Configuration Utility window will appear. Click the Startup tab at the top.

Untick the box next the programme you do not want to automatically start when Windows boots and click OK.

Click the Restart button.
